A letter from the editor of Fighter Log

Dear Friend

It's been nearly 20 years since Friends of The Fighter Collection was born. We have grown steadily, gathered momentum and followed through with ideas that have been unique in their time. We have enjoyed the company and support of a growing number of Friends, many of whom have been with us from the start.

There have been a lot of changes in the last 20 years, we started with a simple two colour eight page Log and grew to a full colour 16 page Log. In that time we have been able to keep our costs low and remain faithful to our commitment to supporting the ground equipment requirements at TFC.
Recently this has become more and more challenging as the price of paper, printing, postage and packaging has risen dramatically and the cost of producing the Log has substantially increased. We are also well aware of the environmental impact of this enterprise and as a responsible organisation in this respect, we have reviewed the options available to us to keep our outgoing costs in check and still provide an excellent offering to our Friends.

Our membership structure will change as of 1st January 2010. We will introduce a lower price online membership which will receive Fighter Logs by email in an electronic format. Friends who still wish to receive a printed version of Fighter Log will have to pay a higher membership price to cover our increased costs as explained above.

The pricing structure will be as follows:

Online membership £10 per year worldwide. Electronic circulation of Fighter Log, no printed copy.

Full membership £16 per year in the UK and £21 overseas. Printed copy of Fighter Log.

Family memberships remain unchanged at present and will receive a printed copy of the Log unless you advise us otherwise.
