Day off, well almost!
It was supposed to be a day by the sea, but you know how it is, things happen. First of all diverted into see the lads about removing the oil and hydraulic tank from the P-47. No lunch and away.
Aldeburgh in Suffolk was the destination with sandwiches, drinks and goodies. A-11, A-14, A-12, going quite well. What's that sign? 390th Bomb Group Air Museum, just the place to eat the sandwiches!
The control tower at Parham, US Station 153, houses a great museum, lots of stories, artifacts, well worth a visit. In addition it houses the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation, Britain's Secret Army, the best kept war secret.
By the way we did get to the beach before the sun set.
